Artisan Signs is a custom electrical sign company manufacturing, installing and servicing virtually any sign on the market today. Jack Mostert, principal of Artisan Signs had his beginning many years ago in 1947 when he was a young student at the Art Institute of Chicago. During those early years, Artisan was known as Mostert & Ferguson, which specialized in sign lettering, gold leaf and neon signs.

Starting in 1968, small fluorescent illuminated plastic signs started to be manufactured. In 1977, through the acquisition of Artisan Signs, a sizable manufacturing plant allowed production of virtually any size sign. Our goal is to provide quality products, while offering competitive pricing, along with a dependable level of customer service.  

Artisan Signs is located in Riverdale , Illinois a suburb of Chicago , Illinois with a branch office in Clearwater, Florida . We serve the greater Chicago land area including northwest Indiana but also ship signs throughout the USA . We are the approved sign company of Borderline Lighting, Inc., for the production of signs to be lit using L.E.D.'s. Our L.E.D. lit signs and border light is shipped around the country.
